Optimizing For The Long Haul

004-21.jpgFor many years search engine optimizers that wanted to monetize their web sites would create computer generated web sites in order to have as many web sites with as many pages as possible. It was not uncommon to have hundreds of computer generated web sites with thousands of web pages each. While that might have made lots of profits in the last couple of years, the search engines finally caught on with algorithms that detect that type of  site. Adapting to changing technology forces SEO’s back to the drawing board to create their web sites and web pages slowly.

Key points:

  1. Do proper Keyword research.
  2. Write effective original content to benefit the reader.
  3. Supply visitors with a no frills easy to navigate site.
  4. Consistently update content for added relevancy.
  5. Test site across all major browsers.
  6. Write good ad copy, and add meta data.

SEO’s are now creating a handful of web sites that they are putting their tender loving care into. Many SEO’s are creating web sites that create one or two pages each day and only have relevant or true content on those pages. Most SEO’s are experimenting with long term web sites that grow organically and are helpful for web surfers. So if you are looking for new directions to take your optimized web pages, build your web sites slowly and try out long term sites.

There is no overnight success on the Internet, and overnight results can have lasting negative effects. Taking the proper amount of time with a well thought out design will produce a lasting successful site.
