Reviewing the Logitech MX Revolution

Logitech MX Revolution MouseLogitech is making a cordless mouse called the MX Revolution, and it is truly is revolutionary. I picked one up last week to use with my Mac Book Pro, and now I wonder how I made it without it.  From the very first minute of operation, I knew I would like it.

First off it is cordless, and although it is larger than most its glove like fit actually makes you want to hold it. The controls are so well laid out it is a breeze to operate.

I think the feature I am most impressed with is the scroll wheel. There are three settings for it that range from click to freewheel. The scroll wheel is a miniature flywheel with excellent weight, and freewheeling capabilities. With just a flip of your finger you can super surf long pages as the wheel rolls through the long pages. The wheel also has adjustable side to side functions, and a click. Directly behind the scroll wheel is a configurable search button.

There is another wheel where your thumb rests that can be configured with forward, back, and click functions. Directly above the thumb wheel are two more configurable buttons that are very easy to use.

The speed can be adjusted to where the mouse can be used right next to the touch pad on the Mac Book Pro.  The break in for the speed turned up is actually very fast, and I would recommend turning it up to at least three.

Logitech factory installs a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery that has an incredible lifespan. There is an indicator on the side that displays the current power that lasts for days between charging.

This mouse is sure to add more functionality to any work load with its amazing design…I paid almost one hundred dollars for the Logitech MX Revolution making it one of the higher priced mouse on the market. This is one case where you get what you pay for it is really that good.
